Which city do you live for? by Jagdish Adhikari

The final book in the Bible has got two cities there is Babylon the great and New Jerusalem. Hebrew 11 says Abraham looking for the City that has builder and designer who is God.  God is interest and absolute for a city.
In this context, the book of Daniel in the Old Testament comprises relevant contemporary issues and left challenging for us. How Daniel and his friends maintain their faith in spite of the powerful opposition where they surround. But not only have they maintained their faith but maintained public witness in a pluralistic society. I meet many people who maintain their faith and you see privately engage in their devotion and going to church but they stopped maintaining their witness. All of that is because of fear and shame.  Do you get afraid? I do.

Daniel lived in a city of Babylon. It's not a question in which city you live in. It's a question of which city you live for. The issue for him and for me is what city I live for. There is only two ways to live. Where either trying restlessly to make a name for ourselves or we are trying to learn to trust God for the significant that He gives us.  But the secret in Daniel Life was He live for the city of Jerusalem which has the foundation. In which city do you live for?
