THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL

So, let's start with the December, we called it freezy, cold. Oh, man! I feel grumpy and refuse to get out of bed. I will be under my blankets with a steaming cup of steam tea but, I still love this month, Why? Everyone knows THE GOOD NEWS. It is a joyful month, a holy night, all is calm, all is bright, light has overcome the darkness and peace where the weary world rejoices. Cause for a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us, and the government will rest on his shoulders and his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace- his name is Jesus. (Isaiah 9:6)
The celebration of Advent: a time to get ready to prepare our heart for the celebration of the birth of Christ. We called it Christmas. Christmas is all about Hope, a hope that goes beyond all others. It is an awareness that God is expecting, looking, longing to show you his goodness. Hope is so important that God sent his only Son, Jesus to be our hope. Even before Jesus was ever born, there was great anticipation about his birth. In the book of Luke 3:15 says, everyone was expecting the Messiah to come soon. So, what are you expecting God to do in your life today?

The greatest gift of this season is the greatest joy of Christmas: God's gift of His Son. The real joy is found when we focus on Jesus, cause he came into this world so that we could have eternal life with him. Nehemiah 8:30 says, "The joy of the Lord is your strength." Joy is a choice. It is not about a feeling, it's about making a decision to live each day with the joy of the Lord even when you don't feel like it. In Psalm 118:24 we can find this," This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad on it." During this season, take some time to pause and reflect Jesus and share his joy with others. God so loved the world that he sent his son into the world to save us from our sin. Love is the driving force of the Christmas story. Christmas is all about the love that you have been loved with an everlasting love, peace which is not of the world and we are created to receive and give this greatest gift to all. The fact that God loves you is one of the greatest gifts and the truth you need to know: Emmanuel (God with us).

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
